Why do we learn INTERVALS? This is essential to help us in Sight Reading Musical Notes. Here is a tutorial video I made explaining what INTERVALS are. In order to practice reading notes by INTERVALS, I made some additional music sheets for practice. These pieces train your visual to read the notes by Harmonic Intervals on the left hand, and Harmonic & Melodic Intervals on the right hand. Here are some practice tips. 1. To improve your Sight Reading, try to play hands together the first time, to try how far you can go. Then hands separately. 2. The left hand notes are designed to practice Harmonic Intervals from 2nd to 5th apart. When reading, try to name out their intervals. You may write them down at first. Then try to identify them without writing out. 3.  When playing the right hand notes, try to read ahead the next note while playing. Also try to identify the intervals, to build your muscle memory. Piano Lesson 101: Lesson 11

You might find playing hands together a little challenging. Today, I made a tutorial video on how to start doing it from very simple exercises. Here are the 2 music sheets I used in the tutorial. Playing 1 note on the left hand Playing 3 notes on the left hand. I have added hands together parts in our previous songs for your practice. The reason I'm reusing the songs that we've learnt, is so that we can learn by layering. Adding another layer on top what we've known, make us more confident in continuing the learning journey. I hope these exercises can really help you in pursuing piano playing. Remember, Roman is not built in one day.
